Ramrod 12

Ramrod 12 is a mercenary rapid reaction platoon in Aurore on the french arm. The setting is one from the classic 2300AD Scifi rpg by GDW, and the Timberwolves/Grey Dragoons and Teskai Engineering are of my own creation...

This is from the beginning of the Timberwolves tour on Aurore, early 2299. It shows a group of well equipped mercenary soldiers of the 'wolves pulling Ramrod duty awaiting any call for assistance just outside the Highrise Firebase. The troopers carry two SK-19's and a TTI-weaponsmith modified M2 marksmans rifle. Bags of handgrenades are carried slung over the shoulder. The two SK-19 troopers also carry heavy pistols, just in case. Their Donnerhammer is parked the background with fans idling and chassis thus resting on the ground. Being quite bored at the time, they're posing for an embedded journalist that did a fairly popular five part documentary called "The Struggle" about the fighting versus the Kafers after the first invasion of Aurore. It was first aired in December 2300 on Joi, not long before the great war broke out with the Kafers.

This was my first serious attempt at an image made in Photoshop. All done with the airbrush since thats all I know how to work with.
